Wilting Hibiscus

After a very hot day yesterday, I gave the garden and plants a good watering. When I watered my Hibiscus, I also gave the foliage a spray. Today, I notice that some of the flowers have wilted. Did I cause that by spraying the plant itself or am I over-watering? I tend to water about every three days on average, sometimes every two days.

If you sprayed while it was still hot, the water may have heated up on the leaves and burned them. The plant will recover, but it’s best to spray in the early morning or in the evening during the hot part of summer. Or, you may be watering too infrequently. During the very hot weeks you could try watering every other day or every day and see if that helps.
