Will Morning Glories damage the screen of my screened-in porch?

I have Morning Glories growing up the support wires on the side of my screened porch. They are still very small, and are attaching to the screen, growing through the screen, into the inside of my porch. It is really pretty, but I don’t want to allow it to continue growing on the screen if it is going to damage the fine mesh screens of my porch. Will the plants rip holes in the screens as they get bigger?

Vines and window screens are typically not a good combination so I wouldn’t recommend it. I am one of those people who doesn’t like to underestimate the power of a vine!
