Will Hollyhocks Grow in Las Vegas, NV

I ordered hollyhocks off QVC. They are about 4 inches tall. Will they grow in Las Vegas, NV? If so, can they stand the full sun?

Yes, hollyhocks thrive in full sun, but in your area the extreme heat from the sun may cause the plant to wilt or dry quickly. If you can ensure that they will get plenty of water, or even consider planting them in an area where they can get some afternoon shade to protect them from scorching summer temps, then they should do fine.
