Why Is My New Peach Tree Losing Leaves?

I planted my peach tree the beginning of March.It was doing great producing fruit and lots of leaves. Suddenly, the leaves started turning yellow and curling up and eventually it lost everything! I started fertilizing it and giving it more water and it started producing leaves but they too curled up and died. I water it every 2 to 3 days since El Paso, Texas is so hot in summer. What am I doing wrong? Please help! I honestly even started talking to it like a crazy lady!

I would make sure to test the moisture level in the soil down to a depth of about 4 or 4 inches. You want the soil to be dry down to this depth between waterings. You do NOT want it to be dry down farther than this, however. Here is an article that will help you measure soil moisture:

With those parameters in check, any persisting problems can be considered a pathogen. In this case, Treatment will depend on the pathogen, as this doesn't stand out as anything in particular. In this case, you can have your soil tested for infections, or you can start with a clean slate with solarizing your lawn. Here are some articles that will help:
