grapevine dripping water

Why is my grapevine dripping with what looks like water? It is just in one area and it was recently pruned. On close inspection it looks like some sort if fungus.

Pruning of grapes in early spring can result in bleeding (sap leaking from the wound). This is considered to be a normal process. This article will explain the phenomenon of grapevine bleeding in more detail:
