Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comA white balloon flower just now came up in August, it only has four petals and stamens, instead of five. Is there a reason for this? I didn’t plant it, and didn’t know it was there until weeds took over and it popped up. Curious as to why it is different for identification purposes. Thank you!

It's probably just a sport (mutation). You may have discovered a new variety!
