Your article praises the Empress tree and even has the audacity to say it isnt invasive. I, and now my neighbors, are currently dealing with the invasion of DOZENS of saplings springing from every inch of the long root system of a cut down Empress tree. It I cut the saplings, twice as many spring up within 72 hours. Dig them up, it will buy maybe a week. The saplings can grow to 3 feet between lawn mowing! Now my poor neighbors have saplings pushing through the deck around their pool. DONT ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO PLANT THIS “PERSISTENT INVASIVE EXOTIC” That’s how it is classified officially despite your quoted fossil evidence

In order to be fair and provide information to everyone, we must provide information on ALL plants and trees. All species have the capacity to become invasive, given the proper environment. It is the direct responsibility of each gardener to research and sure that anything planted is not invasive or blacklisted in an area. Each of us must do our part to ensure that we are gardening, responsibly, as to not destroy the ecosystem.
