Why Did My Silk Lilac Tree Not Have Any Blooms This Year?

This tree is mature. We planted it 20 years ago. It has always been healthy and is healthy now. Every year since it was planted we have had blooms in the spring. None this year.

The first thing to do will be to test the soil pH and nutrient content. These articles will help:

There may be too much nitrogen, or not enough phosphorus and potassium in the soil. A soil test will confirm, and you can begin to remedy the situation.
