white worms

After eating watermelon I throw it into garden. A few days later, lots of worms are eating it away – white ones. What are they and what to do?

These are likely the larva of some kind of insect, perhaps a fly of some kind. They are harmless for the most part, but you can treat with an insecticide if it bothers you.
