Which To Trim

Which of these should I use at the leader.

Unfortunately, it looks like the lead was destroyed, already. I would allow it to grow out as it is to avoid creating a lopsided tree.

It is worth noting that a young pine that has had its leader destroyed will be prone to falling apart at a younger age.
