Giant Bird of Paradise

Where I cut parts of my Giant Bird of Paradise at the bottom, leaves have started to grow from the that which was cut. I left a few tall ones but would like it shorter. If I cut the trunk of those, will new leaves start to grow from where it was cut? It is just too tall.

You would not be able to change the height of the plant. Perhaps you could relocate your plant in another spot in your garden.
