When is the best time to plant persimmon tree

I have a persimmon tree in a pot and would like to know if it’s a good time to plant it now – in September.

You can plant it now. The best time to plant fruit in Florida is during the rainy season, to take advantage of free moisture. Really, in Florida, you can plant fruit trees almost any time.
