Spring or fall planting is preferable depending on your region. Generally, those with harsh winter and cooler summers have better luck with spring planting, while those with milder winters and hotter (or humid) summers plant in fall. Either will work, however. Just make sure you meet its growing conditions and give it plenty of water at planting and thereafter.
