when and how to transplant from pot to soil

I’ve been growing Amaryllis in a pot outdoors for a couple of years. It has just finished blooming on April 1st. At this point, I wish to grow it straight in the garden soil. How do I go about transferring from the pot to the garden soil permanantly. When is the best time to do this? Also, fertilizing, watering, sunlight etc? Do I leave it in the ground all year or should I bring it in at some point? I live in Florida, Zone 9.

They will survive year round outside in zones 7 or higher, so in your area, it can be left outdoors year round. It can be planted in late spring or summer. Find a sunny location that drains well. Plant the bulbs with an inch of the bulb above the soil surface. After your amaryllis have bloomed, cut off the flower stalks. The foliage is evergreen in warm climates and will continue to grow in your garden. Water as needed, typically once a week. Use a high phosphorus fertilizer or bone meal. The phosphorus is what plants use to make the blooms and helps with blooming.
