What’s Wrong With My Lemon Sapling.

I grew this sapling from a pip and was doing fine. In summer last year I noticed the leaves were being eaten and found a few tiny caterpillars on it. I caught them 1 by 1 through the following night’s, then the leaves started to get brown spots and turn yellow at the tips and fall off as you can see in the photo. I have potted it in a multipurpose compost, gave it a good watering and then let the rain do the watering. I only water in summer once a month when dry. I live by the sea with mild winters.

Infestations can cause lots of damage to trees, leaving its immune system vulnerable. Now that the infestation is under control, it is time to think about treatment. Chemical fungicides will be your best bet.
