What’s killing my plants ?

Hi, I’m new to plant growing and I recently planted a few things from seeds ( basil, arugula , tomatoes, and bell peppers) they seemed so be growing so well and so healthily until recently I first noticed the arugula which has since does off. I have some photos of the leaves of my bell pepper and tomatoe plants. I would greatly appreciate if anybody could identify the problem for me and provide me with suggestions on how to correct it.

This is a simple, and very common issue. These are all cases of severe overwatering. Be sure that all of your containers have enough drainage and allow all extra water to leave the pot. Any sitting water, or soil that remains moist for too long will almost always contract a severe infection.

Unfortunately, if you are unfamiliar with removing infections from soils, then this can be a difficult issue to work with. Sometimes treating the soil too little or too much will result in an even more useless soil.

It is best to start fresh with new potting soil at this point. Anything that you try and replant will contract the same illness since it is now present within the soil. Make sure to only water when the top two inches of soil are completely dry.

If these stay outdoors and exposed, then make sure that there are more drainage holes then you think you need. That will prevent the issue in the future. Make sure that you use good quality soil that is never allowed to sit wet, or starts to rot. Smell will generally tell you if your soil is safe.
