Yellowing leaves generally is a signal of watering issues. Either to much or to little.

When the summer heat arrives the tree may be losing to much moisture.
Mulching with 2 to 3 inches of hardwood mulch can help with moisture loss.
Add watering a couple of times a week during dry spells and high temperatures.

Stressed trees can sometimes invite disease or insects. Watch for these issues.
