What To Plant With Dahlias

I have dahlia bulbs to plant which will hopefully cover an unsightly wall together with some sunflowers. As these will provide colour I’m looking for some greenery in front of it and also to act as a natural border what would you suggest? It does not get full sun (photo attached). Any help would be much appreciated as I’m a novice gardener.
