What To Do With My Partially Downed Saguaro

A couple weeks back after a good rain my 35′ giant Saguaro lost the top 15to20 feet. The bottom half still has about 23 arms. Is there anything I can do for the bare open wound where the top used to be? I know this is at least 200+ years and is in the center of my backyard and I want it there as long as possible. Unfortunately, it is now open to disease, infection, and insect invasion. Was it a clean break? That would be ideal. You may want to have it assessed by a professional who can determine if the damage is severe enough to warrant removal of the tree or not. This publication may help:
