Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comdiameter at the top and 5″ diameter at the bottom and is 9″ tall. The jade plant from the dirt is approximately 11″ tall. Is there a better-type pot to use? Today I noticed that one stalk from the main branch appears to be leaning and several leaves on another part of the plant are slightly wrinkled. Based on what I am reading, the plant is getting too much water and not enough! How tall should the new pot be? Should I be looking for a shorter but wider pot? I know to let let approximately 1 inch of the top soil to be dry before watering it. How thoroughly should I water it each time. Also should the plant be facing in a certain direction near a window?

Only go up one or two pot sizes when repotting. I would go with a shorter pot, if the roots aren't as far down as the water holes in the bottom of the pot you have now. Generally, if a leaf is wrinkled, it needs more water. If you can remember to, turn the container 1/4 turn each week so all sides of the plant face the light.
