What Plants Are Best To Plant In July/Aug Time?

I have moved house and want to make my garden look colourfully and have plenty of colour; but I am unsure what plants are best to get at this time of year and need some advice

Since it doesn't get too hot in England, you could plant just about anything, however, the seasonal plants are mums, aster, iris, goldenrod, helenium, and closer to fall, pansy and ornamental cabbage and kale.
