Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comSo my boyfriend is bringing me some seeds from his moms magnolia but I have never seen yellow seeds before! He says it has leaves like our little gem, green on top & brown underneath but it’s much bigger then the little gem is. His mom lives in FL if that helps.

It will be very hard to say which type it is by the fruit alone.
It looks like it was just plucked before it is ready. All Magnolia have red seeds in their cones.
Once you do fine a ripe seed, you can germinate it somewhat easily, though.

That was one he found on the ground so maybe it fell too soon. I’ve only see the red fruit so I thought this may be from a magnolia I haven’t seen before. Thx 🙂
