What does sunlight provide for flowers that lamps don’t?

Thanks Rachel, you saved my flower and they look beautiful, but I want to know if there is anything ‘extra’ that the sun provides.

Sunlight is important for stimulating photosynthesis in plants, which is the process by which they make food or energy for blooming and thriving.
