What do I do if my fig tree comes out of dormancy in the winter?

Before stumbling upon this site and reading what I was supposed to do when the plant went dormant I was concerned it would die if left outside for the winter. I brought it inside and placed it by a window in a room that is always high 60s (yes, I know this is not right, but this is my first potted fig tree!). I haven’t been able to find any articles on what I “should” do. My main question is, if I keep the tree indoors and keep watering and caring as if it were spring, will the tree continue to grow and flourish? If not what do you recommend I do?

To keep your fig growing all year, place it in a location in front of a south-facing window is good. It should receive at least 8 hours of direct sunlight a day and keep it warmer than 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
You can start from now until Fall with watering the fig whenever the surface of its soil feels dry to the touch. Feed it once every two weeks during that time period with a balanced plant food such.
Avoid pruning now, as this could damage your fruit production. Pruning should be before new growth.
Watch for pests; indoors with low humidity can be an issue. Neem Oil can be used to treat pests.

This is incredibly helpful, thank you!

If I want to begin putting the plant in it’s normal cycle can I place it back outside once there are no more cold snaps? I ultimately want to have it in a mobile planter so I can wheel it in to the garage in the winter.
