what could be killing my impatiens?

My impatiens, both in pots and in beds, are just stems. I have been growing them for 40+ years and have never before had this happen. I am in middle Tennessee and a lot of my friends have had the same problem. HELP!!!

Just in case you cannot save them, you may want to take some cuttings (provided you still have some healthy foliage). They propagate easily and this way you can continue to enjoy them. This article will help: [2]
