What Causes A White Substance To Form On Top Of The Soil In My Gerbera Daisy Pot?

It looks way off like snow. Is this something I can prevent? Thanks.

It's a fungal growth that could be encouraged by overwatering. Let your soil dry out between waterings. To get rid of it, you can repot the plant in sterile potting soil, or just scrape it off, or move the plant to a sunnier site.
