Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWhat is also very important for me to point out is that I live in Costa Rica, so its very tropical. In the dry season the dirt underneath is very dry and in the rainy season its very wet. I have tried to grow grass but most of it has died, probably due to the shade. So what do you suggest I grown underneath to cover up the dirt? Thank you so much!

The best thing to put under your lemon tree is mulch out to the dripline. Planting under a tree can damage the tree's surface roots, plus they compete for nutrients.
