What Can I Plant In Daffodil Garden For Blooms After They Have Died Back?

I want to plant something in my 8′ x 10′ daffodil garden to provide color after my daffodils have died back. I successfully leave my daffodil bulbs in the ground year after year so I need to plant seeds in-between them, but I don’t know what will provide late summer or fall color. I hate just looking at an empty flower bed. Can you offer an idea?
