Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have long stems (not green) growing from one of the stems of my plant. They are not very nice to look at and I was advised that if I pruned them, my plant would die. What are they and should I keep them?

These are aerial roots. They act as support for the plant and should be directed into the soil to help the plant obtain water and nutrients.
