These, actually prefer quite a bit of shade, although they will grow just about anywhere. They are Very sensitive to chilly weather, and this will cause leaf curl. They can also do this when they are over-watered. These are pretty drought tolerant. All species of this plant are edible, for an added bonus. I enjoy mine in salads.
