Umbrella Plant Trinette (Schefflera Arboricola)

My Umbrella Plant Trinette (Schefflera Arboricola) is planted outside and got some frost bite. Should I cut it back to the ground or just trim off the damaged parts?

Just trim off the damaged parts. If you anticipate more frosts, you can leave the damage till spring. That way, the extra foliage may protect more stems and leaves from damage. You also can cover it before the next bout of freezing weather.
