Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe moved into a house that has a few well established trumpet vines on a rot iron fence line. However I don’t think they were maintained properly. What would happen if I cut the tops off at fence level? See attached photo.

You can cut trumpet vine to the ground and it will come back. It is very hardy and down right invasive in some areas. Prune away!
