Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI cut my trumpet vine down in fall to about 10″ and covered it with a 5 gallon pail….. uncovered in April after the weather was above 32…. I live in WI….. I think it’s dead… no sign of life…. what did I do… kill it? Is there anything I can do now?

I’d recommend waiting to see if some sprouts grow from the root ball. Trumpet vines, if well established, are pretty tough, even when trimmed radically. The vine might still make it.
