Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI live in Coeur D’Alene Idaho and I want to plant a persimmon tree. The area is zone 5; recommendation for a persimmon tree is zone 7. Would the tree survive and bare front in this area?

If you get the American persimmon, which is native to zones 4-9, it will tolerate your cold winters. The Asian persimmon is not as hardy.
