Tree growing from garden weeds

I have had several people tell me a tree in my yard is really just a massive garden weed. But I have also had people tell me it’s a tree. Can you please help me?! I don’t want to dig it up and it’s actually a great beautiful tree!

I’m not able to id for you from this image. Your growing zone would help as well as a close up of the leaves and bark.
You can also talk with your County Extension Office for an id.
