top soil

hi can you tell me how to get rid or use top soil that has been dumped onto my flower borders what the best way to deal with this problem i have tilled it over a few times to try leveling it out but its still full of grass and thorns even tho ive chopped at all them to try make it look tidy please help any ideas should i just dig it all up and start again thanks ann

As long as you have spread it out, then given enough time those things will break down into nutrients. Topsoil will contain all kinds of things and once they break down make a wonderful compost.

The local agricultural services in your country may be able to help you if you decide you don’t want it on your property.
