Is it Too Late to Cut Back Fountain Grass

We typically prune our fountain grass in the early spring. However, due to the mild winter, it has already started new growth before we had a chance to cut the old growth down. Should we still go ahead and prune it, or just leave it as is?

Yes, go ahead and prune it back but merely give it a good trim rather than a hard prune. Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/fountain-grass/fountain-grass-pruning.htm [1]
