Tomatoes and Onions Can They Be Planted After Each Other

Had big 10/15 onions harvested then turned around fertilized and planted sweet 100s. Now they’re turning yellow from the bottom up.

What kind of fertilizer did you use? How much did you use? If you used too much fertilizer, you could have burned the roots.
