Tiger lily bulbs in winter

I got some tiger lily bulbs on New Year’s eve while on vacation in Nevada. I live in zone 6. There is snow on the ground now. What do I do? Do I plant them in a pot right now or store somehow until the spring?

You can store the bulbs indoors until the danger of frost has past this spring and pot directly into the garden.
You can also start the bulbs indoors if you would like.
Place the bulbs in a pot with with a good peat based potting mix and good drainage.
Fill the pot half way, place the bulbs in the pot-root side down, and cover the bulbs with potting mix.
The planting depth is typically 2 to 3 times the depth of the bulb.

Water and maintain an even moisture level, do not allow to dry out.
Place the pots in a full sun location with temperatures between 50 to 75 degrees F.
A grow light may be needed to be added to give the lilies 6 to 8 hours of sunlight.
When the weather warms in the spring you can move the pots outdoors. The bulbs can be left in pots or removed and saved for the following year.
You can also go ahead and transplant them directly into the ground.
