Hibiscus plant

This is my first Hibiscus plant. I noticed that the blooms keep falling off after only a day or so. Like yesterday I had 5 blooms but this morning 3 of them ere lying underneath the plant on the ground. When I looked at them, they just look like they had been cut off with pruners (a clean cut). Then I noticed all the other blooms seem to have a ridge around the stem right where these came off. Is this what they do? I thought someone or an animal was cutting them off. I would like some info on this matter.

This is perfectly normal behavior for your Hibiscus plant.

The flowers open and last about 1 day. They will drop off at the stem site that you reference.
