The Leaves Are Falling Off My Pepper Plants

The plants seem healthy but the leaves fell off over night. They don’t look like they are cut or eaten. They just broke off at the main stem.

This sounds like animal damage, possible rodents. They can pull off the leaves looking for blossoms and fruit to eat.

It may also be a problem with the roots or water getting into the plant, but if this is the case, you would also see yellowing before the leaves dropped off.
