Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a yellow Calla Lily in a pot that blooms every year. I do store it in the garage in the winter and bring it out in the spring. After it blooms, the bloom will eventually will turn green and have a very hard center. I have been cutting it off at the bottom of the stem. Should I be doing this? Should I leave the bloom on and let it dry up?

Your Calla Lily is normal and you’re doing the right thing. It doesn’t hurt the plant to cut the flower off. It puts more energy into the bulb rather than the seed head -the hard center.
