Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comC. I am having trouble trying to grow sweet potato vines.
They are about one third in water with toothpicks holding them up
I change the water about every 3 days.
They are near a window.
Is it possible they are effected by our water softener?
Should I use distilled water?
Thanks! Hunkydorry

Tubers will not do well in water, you should pot them up or plant them directly into the soil.
You can take cuttings and root them in water.
