sticky feather

I’ve had my string of pearls for a little over a year. I transplanted and noticed what I thought was a feather on the bottom of about six strands stuck together. It looked like a feather but was sticky. What is it and should I remove this plant from the others.

Yes, separate the strands and remove the sticky feather. It may be some kind of pest. Here's a series of articles on how to care for your plants:
