Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a crimson maple tree that has a 5 ft long split in the trunk about 8 ft from ground about 1/4 inch open. It shows no signs of being struck by lightning. Looked just perfect when leaves were on. Tree is about 25 ft tall.
