Spider web patches in mulch

We have spider web patches in the mulch. Is this a problem and what is it?

It’s probably not a problem and is actually very normal…depending.

If it turns out to be the good type of bacteria in your mulch, then no worries. But even if it is, I’d be pretty surprised if you didn’t see spiders carrying egg sacs running through your mulch this time of year.
