Spider Mites Killed Half My Lilac

My dad grew my lilac while he had cancer. He is gone. Spider mites have killed half the bush. The other half is healthy and just starting to bud, Imin Michigan. How can I make sure the mites don’t get to the other half?

You can spray the other half with Neem oil or insecticidal soap to control spider mites. Miticides are also sold commercially. Here is more:
