something eating boston fern leaves

Something is eating the leaves off of my Boston Ferns. Can I spray them with Malithion? My plants are hanging on my back porch and I have noticed that there are droppings on the floor. It looks like cutworm poop. Can this be the problem?

I would use Neem Oi instead.
This is safe for people, pets and bees.

It works as both an insecticide and fungicide.
You can use weekly until the issue is resolved and even preventatively.

Here is a link for you.
