solanum blue

I would like to know “how to pinch” the above plant to help it grow. I’m not sure where exactly to do this.

I recommend that you check out the following article on pinching plants:

Basically, you will want to pinch the stem as close to above the leaf nodes as possible. The following photograph will illustrate what this exactly means:
