Soil with debris and rubbish

I have a patch of garden that has good soil but it has much debris, old roots and rubbish in it. We’ve grown potatoes in it this year and they are great but now I want to decant it to another part of the garden to make space for a potting shed. Other than a laborious process of sieving it, is there any other method or products I could use to save some time and some pretty heavy work?

There is not way to clean up a garden other then manually digging and raking up the unwanted materials.
